Most of us long for a change, to either be in better health, to be financially more prosperous, to have better jobs, relationships etc. Change within us is usually for a sense of betterment or for attaining more. Hence, we seek answers either by reading, listening or participating in something that will assist us to attain that change.
For me CHANGE needs 2 supporting elements – DISCIPLINE & DILIGENCE
When we want to CHANGE something, we already have AWARENESS. However, as long as we are in this plane wearing a physical body, awareness is not sufficient we need to infuse the element of DISCIPLINE – this is the mental strength TO DO and DILIGENCE – KEEP DOING.
It is not enough to just do something for a week and expect change and this is so especially when we want a change in our financial situation or our health. If we examine change, change always comes from something that is already present and we want to change that. That which is present is basically a “negative or lack”. Hence, it requires the DISCIPLINE & DILIGENCE to CHANGE that.
If you want to become healthier, you are most probably needing to change a negative of which is either not having a healthy lifestyle or being overweight. No one says, I am too healthy, so let me change and become unhealthy.
Hence, these elements of an unhealthy lifestyle and/or being overweight is already part of your make-up or even part of your subconscious. Therefore to change that, there needs to be a sense of DISCIPLINE and DILIGENCE. This is why things take time, breaking a subconscious part of us that is so ingrained in our system takes time.
Try this – Just for a few minutes, observe your thoughts/inner voice. What thoughts are you producing. If they are “negative” you are having the AWARENESS of those those thoughts, to CHANGE that, you require the DISCIPLINE to “watch’ your thoughts and stop the “negative” either by examining why the said thought is being produced/created and/or by replacing it with a positive. Then you need to be DILIGENT and exercise this DISCIPLINE to make the CHANGE.
For CHANGE to happen embrace DISCIPLINE and be DILIGENT and CHANGE is sure to come.
