I don’t think we are meant to be perfect – sometimes perfection comes because we need to be accepted or attain a sense of approval from others. We can have breakdowns, we can have a life that we are comfortable with and be ok when others are not.
What we need to remember is that we will all have our opinions about things and some of us need to ensure that we air them. We sometimes forget that we all have similar needs and desires and yet at the same time we can be very different as well, we need to be ok with that.
All that matters and this may sound rather selfish, is that we are not here to please everyone, we are not meant to always have a smile and act like everything is ok, we can just be not ok. Having said that we also need to be cautious about those who are always in that space of not ok – those who play the victim – here you need to have boundaries and be ok with not being ok with this kind of behaviour from another. If you are the one playing the victim -in time you will find yourself being alone.
We live in a world where parents want their children to be happy – they want them to be ok, partners wanting their relationships to be perfect – it is ok if it is not. When we all can try and be ok with things not being ok maybe then we can get along better and be a little more accepting of ourselves and even others.
Be ok with not being ok, it is fine – it allows us to just reflect on our comfort levels.
Take care everyone, be kind to you and to others.
Well said. it would almost be stranger if you were ok all the time. Sometimes we just need to ‘be’ and to feel x
